Ruislip, London Wedding Photography at Waterloo Road Church and The Great Barn at Manor Farm
The Ceremony at Waterloo Road Church
Sam and Rebecca’s wedding day started at Waterloo Road Church in Ruislip, London, followed by the reception at The Great Barn at Manor Farm. Waterloo Road Church was Sam and Rebecca’s home church during their time in London, so the space was incredibly important to them. Guests had travelled from all over the UK to be with them to celebrate together. Guests arrived at the church on the overcast day and were greeted by Sam, along with the best men and women who made up the wedding party. Shortly after, the rest of the bridal party arrived just before Rebecca herself, ready to begin their entrance to start the service.
Rebecca arrived in a handsome car with her father. Once the bridal procession was ready, the ceremony began, and Sam’s face lit up the moment he saw his bride walking towards him. Pastor David Dargue led the ceremony beautifully, and as the couple shared their vows and first kiss, the room was filled with smiles and tears.
Following the ceremony, guests gathered in the church’s back hall for a brief reception, offering their congratulations to the newly married couple. Guests then gathered the confetti toss, and I caught a beautiful moment of Rebecca mid-laugh, confetti still falling around her. Everyone spilled outside to wave the couple off as they headed towards their reception venue.
Relaxed Portraits at The Great Barn at Manor Farm
Before the guests arrived at The Great Barn, Sam, Rebecca and I met up to take some portraits. We walked around the scenic grounds, where the lush greens of the surrounding nature, alongside the red brick of the old farm buildings, gave us the perfect backdrop. There were some nerves about being in front of the camera at first, but I was able to make them laugh with a few playful prompts and comments about how good they looked! It wasn’t long before they forgot I was even there — and from those relaxed, unposed moments came some of my favourite photos of the day.
The Reception: Speeches, Cake, and Dancing!
The rest of the day went by in a flash! The fun didn’t stop — from the group photos right through to the end of the night, when Sam and Rebecca made their exit through a shower of bubbles. One of the highlights was the ceilidh at Manor Farm, where everyone danced for about three hours — the moves were incredible!
